Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 27, 2026

Project K(“we,” “us”) helps you build a gaming identity by connecting the accounts you already play on and showing your games, achievements, and competitive ranks in one place. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. An email address and authentication details when you create a Project Kaccount (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase).
  • Connected gaming accounts. When you link a platform — Steam, Riot, Xbox, Battle.net, Roblox, FACEIT, Speedrun.com and others — we receive that platform’s account identifier, username/handle, and public profile data you authorize.
  • Game data.Depending on the platform: owned games and playtime, achievements, inventory items, competitive ranks/match statistics, and creations you’ve made (such as Roblox experiences/worlds and assets).
  • Access tokens. For OAuth connections we receive tokens that let us read the data you approved. These are stored encrypted at rest.

2. Official and community sources

Most data comes from each platform’s official API after you authorize the connection. Some games have no official rank API, so ranks may come from community-run, unofficial sources. We only use these when you explicitly opt in per source, we label the source on your profile, and revoking your consent deletes the data we cached from it.

3. How we use your information

  • To build and display your profile and capability rating.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the service.
  • To communicate with you about your account and the service.
  • To keep the service safe and prevent abuse.

4. How your information is shared

Project K is an open, public profile product: the profile you build is visible to others by design. Beyond that, we do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that run our infrastructure (such as hosting and database providers) under contract, or when required by law. Our model is ad-supported; advertising does not require selling your personal data.

5. Your choices

  • Disconnect a platform at any time from your settings; we stop syncing it and remove its tokens.
  • Withdraw consent for any unofficial source, which purges the data cached from it.
  • Delete your account, which removes your profile and associated connection data.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and connection data while your account is active. Derived data (such as fetched ranks) is treated as refreshable and is removed when you disconnect a platform, withdraw consent, or delete your account.

7. Third-party platforms

When you connect a platform, that platform’s own privacy policy and terms govern its handling of your data. We encourage you to review the policies of Steam, Riot Games, Microsoft/Xbox, Blizzard, Roblox, and any other service you link.

8. Children’s privacy

Project K is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. Where required by law, additional age limits or parental-consent rules may apply.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption of access tokens at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
